"There are some great opinions here and hope i can provide some insight on Tevez.. i'm honest in saying that i have not followed Dimitar Berbatovs career, but can give great insight on Tevez. True, 30+M is a lot for any player, but that is what the market is for players of this type and when you look at what other guys are getting, Tevez truly does deserve that kind of money.

I will say this again, as stated in another post, as most people reading this only have followed Tevez during his time in England.. I feel like we need to take a look at the quality of player we're talking about here. Let's go back a bit.. he won with Boca Juniors, arguably one of the best teams in the world, playing in an Argentine league that arguably has been exporting the best players in the world, to all leagues (English, Spanigh, Italian, German, etc)... not only did they win the championship but they won 3 international cups with Tevez (Intercontinental 2003, Libertadores 2003 won MVP (champions cup for americas), Copa sudamericana 2004)

Then he goes to Corinthians in Brazil, a team that was not one of the better teams there at the time, and wins with them, gets best p[layer of year. He wins South American Footballer of Year in 2003, 2004, 2005. You can not disregard the high level of football in Argentina and Brazil, and i will put them up agains the best any day. this is not a player coming from the MLS, he has been succeeding in proven leagues.

Then he lands at West Ham, where the coach decides to not really play him, and when he finally did, Tevez single handedly kept them from dropping down to B division. He goes to ManU and is a big part of them winning everything they won last year, it's no secret. And now Fergie is limiting his time and not because he is unfit, that's a lie.

Tevez is proven, and continues to prove himself every year on the pitch, and with every team he touches. I know there's a negative sentiment towards Argentinain players in England because they cant get over the Hang of God goal, tough luck, blame the ref for missing the call, not the player. dont be so blind to the type of player he is. It's no question why since he has been in Europe, Tevez has been coveted by tons of teams in Italy, Spain, and others in England.

I know it's never about what a player has done in the past, and its about what-have-you-done-for-me-lately, as in most sports, but let's be honest here, Tevez has not been getting his fair share this year, and everytime he does get a chance he comes through like the champion and winning player that he is.

also, you have to understand something insane. this is an argentinian player going to brazil, in an unfavorable move publicly. the brazilian president even expressed his displeasure of tevez coming over in a one of the biggest deals in south american club history. tevez worked his way into becoming a fan favorite, team captain, and star of the team. he ended up winning the fan favorite award in 2005, imagine that, for an argentinian player to do this in brazil is masterful. it's hard to explain the magnitude of this."

Just a crazy thought... about forming a football club in india.. "for the people by the people".. if 10000 football lovers around india pooled in 200 a month.. for 2 years.. i think we could make a great club... and i am very sure..this 10000 would multiply 10 times over the years..

we could have..


10000*12*200 = 24000000 (24 crores) in football.. crazy ain't .. i am sure if there is money in football.. the media will go all crazy over the sport... .. new talent will be unearthed.. and India will surely go up the rankings ...

The Puppy Screen saver

I had been looking for this screensaver for quite a while now. Here is the link for it for those still looking for it.

If you get "Could not find the file flash.ocx" file error after installation of this screensaver, do the following.

Some third party screen savers are designed to make use of the flash player software when running.

A third-party screen saver is something that has been installed and is very different than the built in screen saver that is part of Windows.

These screen savers are hard coded to reference the file flash.ocx and recent version of Macromedia's (Adobe) Flash application now name the same file flash9.ocx or even flash9c.ocx.

Which results in the error "Could not find the file flash.ocx"


It is a pretty straight forward fix, and will allow you to continue using your screensaver as normal

You will need to find the flash9.ocx file and copy it as the file flash.ocx. (or download the attached flash.ocx)

To do this:
1. Browse to the C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder.
2. Locate the "flash9.ocx" or "Flash9b.ocx" file and right click it and select copy.
3. Right click in a blank spot of the same folder and select paste.
4. You will then find you have a file called "Copy of Flash9.ocx" or "Copy of Flash9b.ocx" in the folder.
5. Right click the new file and select rename and rename to flash.ocx

Once complete you should notice your screensaver functioning again and the error long gone.

I watched a great episode of PBS’s Nova the other night about the design of the Parthenon. Heard lots of surprises of interest to designers and creators. It’s another example of how many innovations from history we take for granted without even understanding what they are.

What’s also amazing is how many different uses the building has had over 2500 years. It was a temple for Athena, a Christian church, a mosque, and an ammunition depot. It was bombed in several different wars, was stripped of marble and artwork by both the Turks and the British, and was seriously damaged by the first attempts to restore it in the 1890s.

1. They cheated on symmetry. Their understanding of aesthetics was so good they realized at the scale of the building several non-symetrical elements had to be added to make it look symmetrical. The middle section of the ground level is curved, and is six inches higher than the sides. Also the columns are tapered and few elements actually use the golden ratio.

2. We can’t replicate their quality of work. A $100 million renovation project is underway to repair 2000 years of damage, but they’re struggling to replicate the precision of craftsmanship. What took the Greeks ~9 years to build has already taken more than 30 years to repair, and is not finished yet. Without a computer or electric power, the Greeks had many clever innovations that were lost and are being rediscovered.

I can sleep when the wind blows

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast.
He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were
Reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic. They dreaded the

As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received
A steady stream of refusals.

Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on

Been covered with tarpaulins. The cows were in the barn, the chickens
Were in the coops, and the doors were barred.
The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.

Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his
Hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while

Moral of the story

When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically,
You have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the
Wind blows through your life?
The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he
Had secured the farm against the storm.
We secure ourselves against the storms of life by
Grounding ourselves in the Word of God.
We don't need to understand, we just need to hold
His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.
